Jay Perry is a renowned musicologist and lover of all things from heritage music both folkloric and classical.

Vince Morash is a prolific singer-songwriter who literally grew up in Peggy’s Cove, taking inspiration for his musical expression from the sea for his entire life.

Jon Stone is a self-described heritage “nerd” with an encyclopedic knowledge of historical and heritage sea lore which fortunately he manages to keep in check as not to bore people to death.

Together, they have been bringing traditional sea songs as well as a few contemporary songs inspired by Maritime tradition to life for many years. They have performed in such venues as the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival as well as the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic which are both perfect venues for their lively and engaging take on maritime traditions.

Tuesday Night Tunes: Summer 2026 Series!

We’re launching our 11th year of Tuesday Night Tunes at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic! With our free Tuesday nights at the museum, from 4 pm - 8 pm, we host a range of live music performances as part of the summer vibe on Halifax's waterfront!

Performances will be held in the museum's anchor yard where you can watch from the boardwalk to enjoy an outdoor evening of live music. (If weather is inclement, music will be held indoors in our beautiful Small Craft Gallery).

As part of our community nights, we also encourage visitors to support Feed Nova Scotia, to help curb food insecurity in our communities. At our admissions area, you can provide a monetary donation through the Tip Tap system or provide a non-perishable donation.
