Operational Changes Regarding Farm Animals
Due to operational changes, for the 2026 season livestock and farm animals will not be present on site at Baile nan Gàidheal | Highland Village Museum this year.

Get ready to plant some pumpkins! What better way to celebrate the start of summer than by participating in the annual pumpkin planting days at Ross Farm Museum! Bring your children to plant a pumpkin seed on Saturday, June 6th, or Sunday, June 7th, and then return in the fall to harvest their pumpkins on Saturday, September 19th, or Sunday, September 20th!

In addition to pumpkin planting that weekend, the Atlantic Canadian Military History Association and the Seaspray Lace Guild will be at Ross Farm Museum. The Atlantic Canadian Military History Association will be on the Learning Centre's main level showcasing military history artifacts. The Seaspray Lace Guild is a small group of individuals who meet regularly to create bobbin lace, share ideas, and support one another in their learning journeys. You can watch the Seaspray Lace Guild as they create pretty lace in Rosebank Cottage. Admission to the Museum includes Pumpkin Planting for ages 16 and under. Attendees must be present to plant a pumpkin.
