Natural History Collage Night - Wasp Paper

February 26, 2025
Museum of Natural History, Halifax

6:00 PM - 9:00 PM AST

Art meets nature in this evening of creativity and exploration. Learn about paper wasps and create a collage of wasp paper.

Join us for a relaxing evening of creativity and exploration at the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History creating collages inspired by the wonders of nature! The evening will be hosted by Brenna Frasier, Curator of Zoology, Nova Scotia Museum.

The evening will start off with a short discussion about the biology of paper wasps, with an opportunity to examine specimens from the Nova Scotia Museum Zoology collections. We will then explore some collage techniques and create our own collage works using wasp paper.

We'll provide all the necessary materials, however, feel free to bring your own materials too, if you have any specific ideas in mind. Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting out, this event is the perfect chance to explore a unique medium.

Please note that this event is geared toward adult attendees.
