Archaeology at Fort Saint-Louis - Part 7

We had a steady stream of visitors yesterday. The Acadian community is particularly interested in this early French archaeology site.

We had all the canopies up. It was a warm digging day.

Hilary examines closely the soil in her dustpan. We found a few seeds here.

Recent high school graduate Thomasina, of Acadia First Nation, is with the dig full time as she trains in archaeological field skills. Every day is filled with new discoveries!

A large roofing tile fragment in a unit near the beach. We will try and piece this back together when we work in the lab.
