John Waldron, Professor, Acadia University
John is a geologist and educator with degrees from Cambridge and Edinburgh. Since moving to Canada in 1981, he has worked at several universities and is currently with Acadia University. An expert in tectonics, he focuses on the Appalachian orogen in Atlantic Canada and the Caledonides of the British Isles. John received the 2009 Gesner Medal for his contributions to geology.
