Mitch Maracle, Coastal Geologist, Department of Natural Resources
Mitch holds degrees in Geology, Environmental Studies, and Geography. He is pursuing an M.Sc. at Acadia University, focusing on surficial geology and viticulture. Mitch works as the provincial coastal geologist for the Nova Scotia Geological Survey and has experience in mineral exploration. He proudly represents his Indigenous heritage in the Geosciences, promoting collaboration between traditional knowledge and western geoscience.
