Need to know:
- We encourage you to think sustainable and try to re-use and up-cycle items to create your project!
- Ideas - First you need to decide your idea! A great place to start is by talking to your family members, friends, and teachers. You can visit your local library or a museum. The internet is a powerful tool for ideas!
- Visual presentation - place visuals on a board, poster, and or video typed or handwritten project details including, but not limited to Purpose (why you chose this project, what do you think we the results will be) Materials and Steps, Facts, Conclusion (what you learned, what you were surprised by, what you liked about this project)
- Oral presentation - This science fair is open to the public, so family and friends are encouraged to come and view the projects! Many people will want to know more and chat with participants, so please be prepared to say a few words.
In addition to the public, we will have judges from the local communities viewing the projects and selecting an overall winner from each category. Judging will be based on creativity, originality, knowledge, and enthusiasm - did you learn something? did you have fun learning it?
- Prizes - Every participant will receive a prize! There will also be judges choosing 1 overall winner from each category. Judging will be based on creativity, originality, knowledge, and enthusiasm - did you learn something? did you have fun learning it?
- Live animals - If your project includes a live animal (ie."How to care for a chicken") you may bring in a video of your animal, but please no live animals inside the Museum unless they are a service animal.
- Most importantly, have fun learning!
