Cribbage Board

This wooden cribbage board belong to Joseph Howe. The decorations are inlaid ivory. Cribbage is card game that was popular in the mid-1800s, and is still played today. The cribbage board is used by players for score-keeping. A note on the back of this cribbage board explains why the museum believes belonged to Joseph Howe.  (Photograph by Roger Lloyd.
