Explore a remarkable chapter in Nova Scotia’s educational history.
In the summer of 2024, the Museum led a research project dedicated to uncovering and preserving the stories of the Shopmobile. This uniquely Nova Scotian initiative brought industrial arts education to rural communities from the early 1940s to the mid-1950s.
Join us for this free engaging presentation by Lauren Millett, now a Public Historian, who served as the research intern on this project. Lauren will share the fascinating stories, personal experiences, and community impacts she uncovered while delving into the history of the Shopmobile program.
