Building Community Through Song, Learning English, and Navigating Immigration in Canada
All are welcome to attend!
For our last Tuesday Night Talk of the spring season, we will have both talk and tunes, care of the Halifax Newcomer Choir and Rachel Manko Lutz, founder and conductor!
Engaging in music-based programs, members consist of immigrants, refugees, temporary foreign workers, international students, and other newcomers; learning English, meeting community neighbours, and making music, together.
Rachel, accompanied by choir members, will discuss the current climate around immigration in Canada and Nova Scotia, how to build better relationships with new Canadians, and what role we can all play in welcoming and retaining newcomers.
As part of our free admission, community Tuesday nights, donations to Feed Nova Scotia are appreciated. Support our communities, together!
