Museum of Natural History, Halifax
6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Join us for a relaxing evening of creativity and exploration at the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History creating collages inspired by the wonders of nature! The evening will be hosted by Brenna Frasier, Curator of Zoology and biologist Dr. Colleen Barber, Professor, Saint Mary's University (SMU).
The evening will start off with an exploration of some of the nests housed in the Zoology Collections. Dr. Barber will discuss her research on birds, which focusses primarily on mate choice. Have you noticed the many nest boxes on the SMU campus? Find out how they are being used for research. We will then explore some collage techniques and create our own collage inspired by weaving and nesting.
