 Genealogy Workshop

 Performances by Maritime Centre for African Dance, Shanice Skinner, Drummers from Home, James Ogden, and The Ross Anderson Band


July 21

12pm – 5pm

Sunday Service, with Rev. Wallace Smith Sr. and the St. Thomas Baptist Church Choir

Vigil Honouring the Black Loyalists, with Rev. Deborah Hill

Gospel Concert featuring The Sanctified Brothers, Reeny Smith, and the St. Thomas Church Choir


There will be a quilt show Saturday and Sunday in St. Paul’s Anglican Church.


Food and vendors will be available on site Saturday and Sunday.


Transportation Options:

BLHS is organizing transportation to Birchtown on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21 from HRM. Cost is $20/seat.

Pick up locations & time:

Dartmouth at the Black Cultural Centre (10 Cherry Brook Road) 8am

Halifax @ Community Y/St. Pat Alexandra (2227 Maitland Street, Halifax) 9am

Estimated time of arrival in Birchtown is 11:30am. The bus will leave the BLHC at 6pm on Saturday and 5:30pm on Sunday.
